Selling an item already authenticated through ebay

Does this item still have to go to the authenticators?  I bought something from a friend outside of ebay and it was already in the ebay authentication packaging.  When i list it for sale, I even used the QR code to open the original purchase and then clicked to list the item from there thinking it would know it is already authenticated.  I even thought about sending it into my vault, but that isn't allowed yet.

I guess I am just going to have to sell it and have it go through the process again but seems a waste.  Thanks for any information in advance.

At the end of the day eBay has absolutely no proof that the item you have listed for sale was already through their authentication process.
