Sellers are not required to respond to offers or questions. Like you, eBay could send a message, but if the seller is not reading or responding there is little that can be done.
If a seller is not responding to a polite, reasonable question about an item that is not covered in the item description, find another seller that provides the information you need to do business with instead.
