I recently won several items all from the same seller, I paid right away and recieved the order confirmation. Next morning I recieved a notification that we've all received "Unfortunately, the seller had to cancel your order due to the following reason: I'm out of stock or the item is damaged" followed by a direct message from the seller "These were set to be on our eBay Live show.
Thank you for understanding."
I went to the sellers page to look at there inventory, they had the same exact items in stock under buy it now with more than 7 available to purchase and another 2 under auction. They were nice enough to leave a positive feedback for me for those items lol.
A few things I want to shed light on first, I do not want to be the guy crying/complaing because I didn't get some stuff for really really cheap, SECOND I actually like the seller they do ebay live and seem like cool people but I'm tired of sellers and eBay not holding up there end of the deal when it doesn't go in there favor, eBay says that sellers who do this kind of behavior recieve a defect; "defect has a big impact on the account of the sellers as we use this to determine the performance of the sellers. Excessive defect can lead to selling limitation, restriction and even suspension" this is a laughable punishment for sellers who sell hundreds of thousands of dollars in prescious metals.
THIRD on ebay live you can start a item (worth 300$) off as a dollar which creates a psychological affect that makes you think your getting a deal by after everyone on ebay live bids not wanting to let the next person win it for cheaper the price usually ends up over what it should sell for bypassing the fees for setting a minimum price point, and if the seller doesn'tget the price the wanted for some reason they need only to say we're out of stock sorry.
