Seller account verification

Can anyone advise why I am unable to set-up a seller account on E-bay?

I have been trying for months - below is the error message I get

I have called and also tried the chat options - 

Neither was very helpful

@megad_496   This account shows that you opened it today.    If the other account is suspended then this account will be too.  

 

Sorry that you are having problems getting registered for Managed Payments.  

Here are some things to double-check that may be interfering with your registration.

 Make sure that your name and address in your eBay profile match your bank EXACTLY. 

I had to add my middle name to my eBay account.  Just add the middle name in the first name box with a space.  You can not use a PO box for the registration address. 

You can still use a PO box for the ship from and to address.  

Verify that your birthdate and SS# are correct:

Verify that your bank information is correct:

https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/settings

 

Start the sign up here:  https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/settings

If none of the above help then you will need to contact a Managed Payments customer service agent.

Yes I started this account today because I used an older e-mail address hoping to fix the verification issue

I have not even gotten to the bank portion yet...But I will definitely try as you suggested

Some things that may help with linking or editing your bank account for Managed Payments:


Instead of selecting your bank from the pull down menu, scroll all the way to the end and click on "My bank is not on the list" to enter the information manually.


Make sure you are using your bank's preferred ACH routing number for online deposits, as it often is different than the one preceding your account number on your checks.


Make sure your name is exactly the same on your ebay account as it is on your the bank account. You can change it back later.

Unfortunately it will not let me access the bank information pages - it said they are not ready for me to update account information and that I would be notified when I can access it

I recently moved and do not recall the password I used on the original account but it keeps saying they are sending me message but i have yet to receive any e-mails

@megad_496    I recommend you contact ebay for Business On FB, they are the best for handling unusual problems.  

 

 If you have a North American phone number, you can select the option to have eBay call you.

(If you don't have a +1 phone number, then use the human chat option or social media instead.)

Scroll to the bottom of the screen, click "contact us".   Drill down to the topic you need assistance with.  

When the chat box pops up if live help is needed click "see more" then click "contact an agent". This bypasses the chatbot and you can either chat with or get a call back from a real person.

2. Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, and a brief explanation of your problem.
