Scrolling return

When scrolling through searched items, if I look at a single item then return to the scrolled page, it returns me to the top of the page instead of where I left off.  I can see that others have had this problem, but I cannot see the resolution.   can anyone tell me how I can get back to the item that I last looked out on the scrolling page?

If you are using a desktop browser, try opening the item in another browser tab by right clicking. When done, close the tab and you should be left at the same spot in the search results in the original browser tab.

Or try another browser; in Firefox when I open an item listing and then use the back page, I am left at the same spot in the search results where I left off.
