If anybody has purchased from Ebay as I did and went to check on tracking the package and saw a little yellow envelope that says you "Have (1) free gift" take a short survey to receive the gift. So I opened it and it says I won a free Makita drill set. All I had to pay was shipping of $4.95. After entering my information, including my visa card number, it kinda disappeared. So right away I went on my bank account and saw a charge of $9.95. Called visa and they told me within a minute of that charge being posted there was another charge of $149 attempted. They closed my account under FRAUD. Never again. It all looked legit being on Ebays website with money back guarantee and all. This was through Lucky Discount Store. Then it says opening soon. The charge to my account was to SUNLIGHT COVERING WORKS. The second charge attempt was to some Shade and Curtain Store. So be very aware of all the Christmas thieves out there.

Any time someone wants to give you a valuable gift for filling out a three-question multiple choice survey, but then asks you for a credit card number to pay for "handling", you should probably assume it is a scam to obtain your credit card information and to steal from you.

Many ads are placed by third party services that do not always screen them adequately. In addition, some forms of adware or malware can inject ads onto other sites, so you should never assume that just because an ad appears on a site's page that the ad has been approved or screened by the site.
