Sales tax on clothing in Minnesota

We do not pay sales tax on clothing in Minnesota.

Two times since December I have had issues with sellers who state they cannot remove tax on clothing items.  Both claim that this is an eBay issue. yet, on other clothing transactions, I have not been charged sales tax. 

Is this really an eBay issue or is the seller just making illegal cash?

eBay collects the sales tax, not the sellers.  If the item is listed in a non-clothing category, such as sporting goods where you find many hoodies, jackets, etc., then it is not considered clothing and eBay will tax it.
