You guys are a$$holes. There is NO REASON that a listing can not be revised after it has a bid. FOR EXAMPLE, I have an item listed that I did some research on and found some information about the item that authenticates its authenticity. BUT NOOOOOOOO! I'm not allowed to add that bit of info to my listing. I would think you brainiacs could figure a way to algorithm a way to stop that unauthorized behavior. JUST SAYIN'.

HI @bulitnoz
I sell a lot Auction style, you can actually ADD to the Description (after a bid has been placed) providing there are more than 12 hours left in the Auction cycle. Here is a screen shot of the typing field for the "Additional description" section on the Advanced listing tool (green arrow).
If memory serves you can also ADD additional pictures as long as they don't exceed the 24 allowed per listing. Some other members and I had that discussion earlier this year and if memory serves we could ADD pictures after a bid was placed.

How would you feel if you placed a bid on an Item based on what the listing said, and then the Seller comes along and changes what you placed the bid on?
That is the reason eBay doesn't allow that.

The first bidders bid based on the information in the listing so you can not change the information that they based their bid on.

Did you even read my post? I said I had gathered information that AUTHENTICATED it. So the answer to your question is I would feel much better about my bid. SHEEEESH !

I won't even dignify that with a response. Read my post and pay particular attention to the word AUTHENTICATES!

Read my post AGAIN, and, pay particular attention to the word AUTHENTICATES!

And exactly how is eBay supposed to discern whether the revision makes the item more valuable to the bidder or less valuable? If you think carefully about what you’re suggesting, instead of a knee jerk reaction to something you didn’t like, I believe you’ll see that there’s no way for that to work.
