Returning a defective item when seller does not accept returns

I am unable to initiate a return through eBay. What is the best way to get the item back to the seller so I can be reimbursed? Usually return postage is paid if they accept returns. If not, it's on me. Is there a way to set up postage through eBay or do i need to go through USPS directly?

The seller's stated return policy only applies to "remorse" returns, where the buyer has a change of mind.

If the item is "not as described", eBay's money back guarantee applies.

If the seller does not cooperate at any point after starting a "not as described" case, after three business days you can ask eBay to step in and refund you.
