Returning a Working Item!

I sold a Graphics card a couple weeks ago. Today I get a return request and it says the reason is the item is not working. In the description the buyer says that the item does work but after more than 24-48 hours (seems like it works then) it will "freeze".  I really don't want to have to give a refund and end up losing money. Is it just me or should you not be able to return an item for not working then say it is working in the description.

Returning a Working Item!

If it only works for 24-48 hours, then it sounds to me like it does not work as intended.

When the buyer opens a not as described return, eBay will not ask for opinions.  You can not decline a not as describe return - you can issue a label, or refund without return. If you ask eBay to step in, they will issue the return label for you, since it is a pricey item, but they do have the option of refunding with your money and not requiring return.

If they have to step in, your fees are not refunded and you get a defect for an unresolved case. So as you might guess by now, you should accept the return and refund when received.
