Returned item

I sent back the item , it shows it has been returned when I track it. How does eBay know it's been recievrd back .  The disputed isn't updated to say it has beed recieved back . But I have the tracking number

Does the return tracking# appear in the dispute at all, of just not updated yet? eBay lags a bit in tracking updates. 

The seller has 2 business days to refund after it's been received back, if it's been longer than that contact eBay CS to review the dispute.
