Return

I was unable to use the shipping label the seller supplied. I sent the item back by paying for the shipping myself. I informed the seller of this problem but the seller never contacted me. Will I still receive a refund from the seller?

You must upload the tracking number to the return to make sure you get a refund.

If seller was to pay for the return, but you paid for it yourself, it is unlikely you will be reimbursed.

If you paid to ship the item back, the seller is not required to pay you back for the return shipping.

Have a great day.

Then make sure you updated the tracking number.  That is what ebay looks for, to see that the item has been returned to the seller.

How do you upload the tracking number?

This is how you're supposed to upload it, but it doesn't always work due a known bug:

  1. Go to the return request in Purchase History - opens in new window or tab.
  2. Select the shipping carrier from the dropdown list. If you select Other, enter the carrier name.
  3. Enter the tracking number.
  4. Select Mark as sent.

If you can't get it added, contact eBay CS to add it for you so the case won't close and you can be refunded.
