Is there a time limit on a buyer opening a return request? Just had someone notify me that an item that they received on 4/7 does not work properly and I want to know my options.
Thank you,

Please be aware that although the buyer may have passed the return limit that eBay sets they are most likely protected by their payment source for 180 days from payment. They can ask for a charge back and when eBay is informed of this they will charge you a $20 fee for having to deal with this. The buyers funding source makes the final determination about the charge back and they will usually side with their client the buyer.

eBay allows Buyers to request a refund for up to 30 days from delivery. If you received a message asking for a refund, let them know that unfortunately, it is past eBay's return window.

Thank you, I thought that was the case but I was not able to find that on the Customer Service page.
Appreciate the quick response.

Thank you for this information. We had already determined to allow the buyer to return the item but haven't heard any more from them at this time.
