Restore your selling privileges: Action required

Hey anyone who can help,

I'm a new seller and just made my first sale a few days ago. Two hours ago eBay put my account on hold and removed all my listings.

The link in the email from eBay (attached) sent gives me three reasons why my account is restricted: 1) make a payment, 2) "verify my information", or 3)  my account has been hacked.

I've investigated these three reasons but don't see a clear  remedy. I've messaged eBay on Facebook, tried to find a dang email to contact eBay, and I'm currently on hold waiting for eBay to call me (about 50 minutes waiting so far). Below are the three reasons my account may be restricted.

1. Make a payment - My account balance is -$12.55 since I'm waiting for funds to be released once my first sold item is received (I shipped last week so this should be anytime now). My bank and payments are already setup with eBay, and I can't find a way to make a one time payment.

2. Verify my information - My account was setup in 2020, eBay has my social security number, my email is verified, and I don't know what else to do to "verify my information".

3. Account hacked - I see no unusual activity on my account, so I don't think its this.

Any help? This is out of the blue and I understand the nature of automation does this sometimes, its just a really crap given its Christmas shopping crunchtime and the lack of clarity I'm finding from eBay.

Attached is the email I got from eBay.

Thanks for reading 🙂

Restore your selling privileges: Action required

Hey all,

Just got off the phone with eBay, my account has been restored.

eBay told me on the phone my account had been put on hold since I’m a new seller (first listing went live 19 days ago), and they needed to verify me.

So if this happens to you:

Go to eBay customer service page, find the contact us button, then find the button to have eBay call you.

🙂
