When I’m creating a listing I do research to see what others are selling for. But then the sellers end up sending me offers on the same products that I have that I am listing.  They see that I had viewed their items. How could I avoid this?  I feel bad every time I get an offer

These offers are blind meaning the seller does not know which buyers they go to. A seller can set up their listing to have the system automatically send these. You can just ignore them or if you do not want them at all from any seller you can turn them off in your settings.

Go to your communications preferences page https://commspreferences.ebay.com/commsprefs

In the buyer section expand the buying activity options and make sure the offers to buyers box is not checked. remember to click save if you make a change so it will be saved.
