ebay's Money Back Guarantee expires 30 days after receipt of the item. Paypal's is 180 days from date of sale. Too late for either to help you.
Manufacturers usually do not honor warranties for items sold on ebay unless the seller is an authorized reseller or dealer.
You can try contacting the manufacturer to see if they will help, or if you paid with a credit card, contact the card issuer regarding a charge back.
