Refund to Closed Card

Just had a refund from a seller and was notified by ebay the refund went to a card that is expired now.  I updated my new card info in the system.  Will my refund go to the new card or do I need to take another step?

@frankmtg  You will need to contact your card company but the refund should go to the new card as long as it's just a card renewal and not a different company.
