Hey guys,
I have been having a very annoying problem lately with bots purchasing my trading cards.
I sell Pokemon cards here on eBay and I use varation listings very frequently so customers can select specific cards they want from certain Pokemon sets. A lot of the cards on these listings are $0.99. I do not profit off a single $0.99 card order but more times than not a customer purchases multiples of these.
Lately I have been receiving 20+ orders a day from what I suspect to be bots. There is no rock solid concrete proof I have that these are bots, but they ALWAYS order one $0.99 card and they ALWAYS have either 0 feedback or 1 feedback. I have been monitoring these accounts post purchase and most of them end up being deactivated and the others are all selling some obscure $500+ item such as a camera or kitchen appliance.
I believe these bots are purchasing from me in order to gain feedback that makes there scam eBay account look more legit. Since this flood of bot orders has started I have turned off my automatic feedback but they are STILL purchasing from me.
I reached out to eBay about this and they were of no help. Granted I am not sure what I was expecting them to do since there is no real way to prevent this outside of blocking sellers with 0 feedback. I did not want to do that but it is looking like it may be my only option to stop these fraudulent purchases.
I just wanted to share this to see if anyone is dealing with the same stuff and/or can propose any other solutions. Thanks!

Purchasing inexpensive postcards or sports cards are a way to test hijacked accounts or stolen credit cards.

What can I do about this? I have been scanning that thread and have found no solutions to this.
I just printed my orders....of the 93 orders I had, 56 of them were orders just like this. Terrible!
