Received an email from a non-registered user within eBay.   Hello, I have a simple question.  Why are users that are no longer registered on eBay allowed to post a question using the eBay mail service?  This email also asked me to text this person with a response for a fast reply.  This person does appear to have an eBay user name but eBay is telling me he is no longer a registered user.

So he was removed because he wanted to do business outside of eBay?

That is entirely possible. Or for violating other policies.

Encouraging an eBay user to contact someone outside of eBay is quite often the first step in some sort of scam.
