selling fee

Hello I am wondering about the new managed payout Ebay has. I thought the whole idea was to save the paypal fee but ebay does charge a fee since they raised from 10% to 12.35%. Am I correct?

Also, with shipping - there is an Ebay discount but yet Ebay charges a fee on shipping. Has anyone figured this all in to see what the real cost to sell percent is?Thanks

The real cost to sell will range from just a little over 12.35% up to about 14%, depending.

The MP fee is also applied to sales tax paid by the buyer.   If you sell to a high sales tax state the selling percent will be higher than it was under paypal.   If you sell to a low or no sales tax state, the selling percent will be lower than it was under paypal.

One saving you will see under MP is that you get a credit for your FVF (except for 30 cents) whenever you refund a buyer.   Paypal kept the entire money processing fee.
