The post office just returned an item I sold due to not having any means to deliver it to the address provided. What is my responsibility? I have no issues refunding the buyer for the item, but the $10 it cost me to ship it is another issue.

does the tracking show 'attempted delivery'? or something similar?
because ebay treats an attempted delivery, with no success due to 'no access', not a valid address, notice left for pick up, etc as if the item was delivered.
therefore, once the buyer contacts you, just refund the cost of the item, not the shipping fee.
