I have noticed this past year that more and more sellers are not listing the accurate locations on their profile. Listing a seller location as National, National or United States, United States is unethical. As a buyer I want to know everything about the transaction, especially the seller's business and where the item I am buying is actually at.
I try my best to support USA sellers. I always click US only on my search. Lately, I am seeing that these dishonest sellers are putting in a location that the search picks up as US when, in fact, they are not in the US. I understand the whole drop/ship way of doing business. But, a seller should be a registered user in the US in order to conduct business in the USA. Why does Ebay allow this false sense of buyer security? Are these falsifying sellers even paying taxes, import fees, etc to the USA?
Consequently, a few of the items with the incorrect listings have sent me pure junk. Junk I paid for with honest money and taxes taken out..
Ebay, please tighten up seller regulations and make these sellers accountable for where they, what they are selling and where the items are shipping from. I won't name any countires in this posting. You know who you are.
I am rather disgusted with Ebay as a whole.

It is a policy violation to misrepresent Item Location. You can click on the sellers' feedback number in parenthesis to see the location they registered with as well as looking at the ESTIMATED delivery date. It doesn't take several weeks or months to ship a package within the USA.
You can also use the REPORT ITEM to report a misrepresented item location.
