Open bids, but item removed and relisted at higher price.

Hey,  I was bidding on an item, and so was someone else, but the jerk who listed it suddenly removed it, and relisted it at a Much higher price.

Is that legal?   It sure as heck isn't fair!   What are the rules with this?   Is it an auction, or isn't it?

This sucks!

A seller can remove a listing for any reason they see fit, and that option expires 12 hours before the item is scheduled to end.

So, the seller did nothing wrong.

Ebay may charge them the final value fee associated with the high bid, so it probably cost the seller 10% of that high bid when they ended the listing.

Always bid once, and bid the most you are willing to pay as close to the end of the listing as possible.
