How long to wait before reporting unpaid item?

I accepted a best offer on an item on Tue, Sep 11 and invoiced immediately. I sent another invoice on Friday asking if they had any questions about how to pay. I sent a reminder yesteday (Saturday the 15th). I am guessing they changed their mind and no longer want the item. Should I open an unpaid item case? (I wasn't sure how long was appropriate to wait). Thanks!!

You can open an unpaid item case as soon as 48 hours after the sale.  They then have 4 more days to pay.  At that time you can close the case, this will get your seller fees credited back.

No need to send all those reminders; ebay has been sending them payment reminders.
