Ending a listing

There are 7 hours left on an item, no bids, no watchers...can I just cancel it and relist it with whatever revisions I am going to use,or doing have to let time run-out so I have a record of unsold items? I am not worried about stats, something else will sell if that item doesn't, but I want to be sure I'm not breaking a rule.

You won't be breaking any rules.   After you end it, you can click on Relist, and then on Edit at the bottom of the form; or click on Sell similar to bring up a duplicate of the original listing form where you can make any changes you like.  To end a listing early, use this form:
