Purchase from a buyer on same day they bacame member

Recently i had someone buy something that was made immediately after becoming a member, so no feedback, etc.   Also, the buyer has been unresponsive thru the ebay communication system.   What can i do to feel comfortable shipping this item?

We all started with 0 feedback. I suspect most members made a purchase the day they opened their account. 

There are no guarantees, but has the buyer done anything to make you suspicious other than to be new?

When  they pay and you ship. Communication is not part of the contract.
