I bought an item and got the receipt email but it never shipped. I'm beyond my expected arrival date now and when I click on the item in my purchase history it tells me the item can't be found in the system. While trying to find out what to do I found an option to get a refund, I was going to just do that but the refund amount is for $40.99 but the purchase price was $45.99 plus shipping and taxes the total was $53.78. How do I get my money back?
To add when I try to ask the seller it tells me it can't find the item so my message doesn't go through.

Ebay removes listings/sellers for a variety of reasons. The item may still show up. Go to your My ebay > Purchase history and locate the item. If the item does not show up by the last estimated delivery date, allow a couple of more days. Then you can log into your Paypal account and file an Item Not Received case, because the listing/seller was removed by ebay, in order to get your money back. If you paid with a credit card, file a charge back with the card issuer.
You should receive item price + shipping paid. ebay will refund the sales tax.
