Protecting identity of bidders

I have been involved with auctions thanks that have protection for the identity of Bitters and it feels a little shady where I believe that the seller is bidding fees up $1 at a time how do we or are we protected as a buyer that these protections put in place for bidders does not come back to haunt the actual buyer

 example when the identity of bidders is not protected and you see a bunch of bids with zero sales and zero transactions you know they're is sellers bidding up  auctions. And if they don't get the price they want they just cancel the auction and there's nothing in place so we can complain and get these people caught and some of these sellers I speak of have thousands of sales
