Hi all,
I lazily bought an item as a 'guest' rather than signing in to my account.
The sender has emailed me to say that the item won't be arriving and that they will issue me a full refund but that I need to 'accept the cancellation request' but I cannot link this guest purchase to my actual account even after following Ebay's 'step by step guide' - I'm also finding it literally impossible to speak to an actual human being at Ebay to get this resolved.
Does anyone have any tips for me to sort this or have a number I can call for Ebay?
Thanks,
Jake

There is no 'accept a cancellation request' . The seller wants you to ask for cancellation so he does not have to admit to being out of stock. Use the link on this page to access your guest purchase - sign out of your account, then use the link. You can not move the guest purchase to your account.
You can message the seller and tell him he must cancel as out of stock. He probably won't, so then after the last expected delivery date, (but no more than 30 days after the last expected delivery date), go to your guest purchase and select 'I haven't received it' and follow the prompts.
The seller has 3 business days to provide tracking that shows delivery, or a refund. If he doesn't, go to your case and click 'ask us to step in'.
We want your journey here to be as great as can be, so we have put together some links to help you get quickly familiarized with the eBay Community.
