Problem with buyers address.

Sold a pair of lamp shades back in January. Yes, January. I shipped them to the buyer, they were returned to me by USPS with a note saying insufficient address. I used the address on file with ebay using eBay labels. So I paid for another label using out of pocket funds. $21.55 of my own money. They were returned to me again by USPS. The buyer is not big on communicating. Once every 3 to 4 weeks I get a message saying simply I never got my item. I have sent a dozen messages trying to get the matter resolved. They don't respond other than I did not get my item. They did finally say that I would have to use FedEx or UPS not USPS. They told me that AFTER the second return to sender shipment. I told them I would not pay for another label out of pocket.  Told them they would have to send me the cost of shipping before I would ship again. I even did a special listing just for them to give them a way to pay for the next label. They did nothing. I want this thing resolved but I have no idea how to do that. I could wait for them to file an item not received and then ask eBay to intervene. but that will be a defect against me. What should I do?

Problem with buyers address.

@dot341

Since you have waited 6 months, there is nothing that can be done through Ebay.

The first time the item was returned to you, you should have cancelled the transaction due to "problem with buyer's address", and relisted the item. You would have gotten your selling fees credited.

The buyer cannot file a Refund Request/Item Not Received because the 30 day Money Back Guarantee has expired.
