Problem With Seller

Purchased 1/13/2021

Chair broker 3 months later after return policy but still within the initial year of the item.  I purchased insurance and filed a claim.  The insurance have approved the claim.  I have repeatedly reached out to the seller for a manufacture and model number so insurance knows who to contact.  The seller refuses to answer since it is after the initial 3 months, I have made many requests.  I just want the information to complete my claim.  I need eBay to set in.  I followed the directions online but there is no link on the item to Request eBay to step in.  I called the new 866 number and the automated system forward the call to the old number that was disconnected and the system hung up.  So I cannot get in touch with anyone or eBay to help resolve this issue.  I need help to resolve this.

eBay doesn't have public phone #s to call, so don't try that - lots of bogus/fraud numbers on the internet.

 

Is the "insurance" with Square Trade - is that who approved the claim?

Don't you still have the chair - to find the manufacturer and Model # somewhere on it?

Looks like they're a China seller, so I wouldn't expect much cooperation.

eBay can only "step in" if there's a Return case open here on eBay, which you wouldn't have due to the time lapsed. They're not involved in Square Trade claims.

I don't know what eBay CS can do to get the seller to help you with the information, but you can try contacting eBay CS on social media -

They have a very good team there to help resolve problems.
Only use the Private DM or PM Messaging - do not post your account info publicly.
Give them your User ID, your real name/address, the email attached to your account, Item # and explain the issue in detail.
They usually respond in a day or two.

Yes, Square Trade approved.

I do not have a Facebook or Twitter account, I do not use these at all.  Any other way to make contact?

Nothing on the chair - no hidden tag with the info? And you don't have the description detail from the Order?

 

I'm not sure where to send you as this isn't about a claim on eBay, but start here -

Scroll down to the bottom of this >> Help page on Purchase History
Click on "Contact us"
In the Help Chat box that opens type AGENT in the reply box then hit "Send" to bypass the bots
You should get the options to Chat with agent, or have them call you.

Note: The Call Back option doesn't always work if your carrier blocks spam/telemarketing calls.
With the Chat option eBay will automatically email you a transcript.
