Postpone Offer

I currently have an item for sale with an offer expiring in 12 hours. I'm currently not home to accept the offer and ship it. I will be gone for several months. I would like to contact the potential buyer and let him know I would accept his offer but I can't ship it until I get home. How should I handle this?

How do I temporarily suspend selling an item until I return home? TIA

I would decline the offer and explain why in the note to buyer when you cancel why you are declining. You should end the listing and relist when you return if it is going to be several months.
