Postage not available in shipping

Created a selling post.

Small flat item.

Meets the requirements for large envelope. 4oz.

It sells. The buyer paid the postage $2+. I go to print a shipping label and first class is not available. Ebay show usps economy for $4+. I look down the list, no usps 1st class.  I have to use $3+ of my stamps to send it.

Why is it a choice when I am creating the offering, but not there after it is sold?

I must be screwing up somewhere cuz ebay certainly wouldn't screw up.

Although eBay may show you a large envelope for placing on the listing since that service does not have tracking you cannot purchase it in the shipping center.  You would have to purchase it at the post office and would have no seller protection against a claim for an item not received.
