Hello, I just sold an item a couple days ago & I weary of the buyer (he has a feedback of 2) I’ve contacted the buyer about packing preferences with a few questions a couple times & have gotten no reply. They paid my BIN of $800 & the funds are on hold until I ship it & have a tracking number. Should I be concerned? Once the money is in my account is that that? I’m afraid they’ll say they never got the item or it’s damaged or something & demand a refund.

@paco403

Ebay shows that you have zero feedback so this Buyer with two feedback may have the same concerns. He has paid you the full amount and is trusting you to safely ship his $800 item.

Ebay has a 30-day Money Back Guarantee for all Buyers. Because you have 0 feedback, eBay might hold these funds for up to 30 days. You can use some of those held funds to pay for shipping through eBay. You are required to get a signature on purchases over $750. And be sure to buy enough insurance. Your main concern right now should be safely shipping the item to your Buyer.

Hmm that's odd because I have 209 with a blue star. It shows that on my profile, I wonder why you can't see that?? I haven't done much business on here lately which is why I'm skeptical with this transaction.

You have zero feedback within the last 12 months, ebay sees this as a new seller .

Oh well heck.. So if the funds are on hold they'll be available after they receive a tracking number? Even though they'll possible hold them longer because I'm "new" they'll be safe incase the buyer tries to scam me? Honestly I'm considering cancelling the whole transaction for fear of getting screwed over.
