Pick up scan not working

When I enter the pick up code provided by the buyer, I get this message:

Invalid code. Enter a valid pickup code to confirm pickup

Cannot find a way to contact eBay to resolve the issue.

Pick up scan not working

@dukebowling  The problem is that you are using Local Pick Up for digitally delivered goods.  This is NOT allowed and why the pick up code didn't work.

I see that the listing says "not eligible for eBay Purchase protection programs"   I believe that means that you did list this correctly as a Classified Listing.   As far as eBay is concerned you don't need the code to prove delivery however you may still be subject to credit card chargeback disputes.

Make sure that you are following the Travel Policy

What is the policy?

The following travel items can't be listed on eBay:

  • Choices of lodging locations, airlines, cruise line or cruise points of departure or destination
  • Third party travel certificates and documents not issued directly by a provider of travel, but by travel wholesalers, consolidators or other intermediary travel sellers. These certificates generally offer the holder free or low-cost travel services with a choice of destination, hotel, resort, cruise line or airline
  • Travel club memberships
  • Resale of travel-related incentives such as awards, coupons, upgrades, etc that are subject to cancelation by the travel provider if resold

I believe that what you are selling falls into one of the highlighted areas.

@dukebowling,

When you met with the buyer did you scan their QR code with your phone or did they give you a six digit code to enter?  If they gave you a numeric code, I suggest contacting the buyer and ask them to read the code to you to make sure they gave you the right one or the numbers in the right order.  If you scanned the QR and it was not accepted it could be because of something on your camera's lens or because it was out of focus. Then get the 6 digit code and enter it.

Pick up scan not working

The scan did not work and the 6 digit code did not work. Both gave same error message.

Ebay offers no solution.

If the pickup code you provided isn’t working - it shows as invalid when I try to confirm the pickup.

Please check your eBay Messages for the most recent 6-digit pickup code. eBay usually sends it when the seller marks the item as ready for pickup:
https://www.ebay.com/cnt/ViewMessage?_caprdt=1&group_type=CORE

If the code doesn’t appear, you may need to re-confirm the pickup status on your end to generate a new one, or contact seller as @mudshark61369 suggested.  Here’s the full guide from eBay on how local pickup works:

That makes sense. Appreciate the info.

Hopefully, the hold will just eventually be dropped?
