Payouts sent to closed account

What happens to a payout that gets sent to a bank where the account was closed? I opened a new bank account from a different bank and forgot to set it up in eBay. However I have added the new account now.

If a payout was sent to a closed bank account, the bank will typically reject the deposit and return the funds to eBay. Once eBay receives the rejected payment, they will attempt to send it to your newly updated bank account.

Since you've already updated your bank details, monitor your eBay Payments section for any updates. If the funds don’t appear within 5-7 business days, contact your bank to confirm the rejection and then reach out to eBay Customer Service for further assistance.
