Payment method provided by the seller

Dear all,

recently , I have spotted an item and the seller provided the bank account detail and plead that this bank is eBay’s bank account which is in Italy , how can I know that this bank account information complies with eBay’s policy and it is eBay’s approved payment method ?

thank you

Re: Payment method provided by the seller

Don't do it. Keep the payment on  eBay if you want buyer protection!

Sellers do not need to give the buyer their bank details!

Although t's common in European countries to pay with bank transfer,  be aware if you do then you lose buyer protection.

You can ignore the seller and pay on eBay.

Or ask to cancel before you pay. If the seller ignores you then after 3 days eBay will accept the cancellation and you don't  have to pay. If they decline and you don't  pay you could get an unpaid strike but then you can appeal citing the seller tried to take the payment off of eBay and eBay would remove the strike, or they should.
