Packing/Mailing a Starting Lineup

Any ideas/recommendations on how to ship a Kenner Starting Lineup ( new and unopened ) without using USPS Medium Flat Rate Priority Mail box? $14.50 seems too costly. Thanks.

If it weighs less than 2-3 pounds, the flat rate box is usually not a good value.  How big is the item and how much does it weight?

If over 1LB, it still have to go priority and you can get free boxes from usps here -

If under 1LB, then you need to buy a box, or find some a used box to use - ask friends, neighbors, etc to save them for you.

I ship from California, and I find that the flat rate priority boxes cost too much.  There are other priority boxes that ship by weight/distance, so I suggest you order some from USPS.COM.  I like the 1092 and 1095.  There is one that is smaller than the 1092 but I don't recall what that number is.  I also like the shoe box size, as well as the regional rate A box (comes in 2 different configurations).  All of those boxes ship to you free of charge.
