Hello Ebay community, I need help with getting my money back from PayPal. I recently received a refund and after several attempts to speak with a representative I was finally informed that I could use the refund credit to a make purchase. I then proceeded to make a purchase and Paypal would not process the payment. Prior to this, I decided to close my Paypal credit account becuase over the last few months I have noticed some kind of fraud on my account. For instance, when I make a payment by the next day a new amount would be tagged on to my account. A typical example, if I paid 150 on a balance of 400 dollars, in a day of two instead reflecting a balance of $250 as my current balance it will jump to balance of $320 or $340 when I have not made any other recent purchases.
As a result, I emailed PayPal to look into the fraud going on with my account and for almost 2 weeks there was no response from Paypal. I then decided to pay off the whole amount on the account and close the account regrettably. Thereafter I decided to return an item I purchase earlier and EBay sent the refund back to my PayPal account and this is money I am trying to get back. I will never use PayPal ever again so help me GOD! Largely due to the way I was treated in the last few days. I have made repeated calls with representatives dropping calls on me while asking me to wait for another representative to resolve the matter. I have also called Ebay phone numbers several times with only the automated responses giving me the wrong answers to my request before cutting the line.
I have been with Ebay and PayPal for almost 20 years and this is the worst experience I have ever had to deal with. Ebay please ask PayPal to release my credit for $74. Thank you.
