Have the rest of you notice how eBays quoted prices fir postal charges are a lot more expensive than the actual costs of postage ? Ive found If I’m very lucky to get a refund back, as the price I’ve paid is well under what they paid in real, post for the item, against the price I HAD to pay in the check out, if I’m very lucky I have received a received a refund, which is extremely appreciated & professional of eBay, but I find I have to wait until I get the refund back to be able to use it on future purchases which limits the sales to vendors. As I have to wait fir the funds to return to my PayPal account etc.

Sellers set prices. eBay may suggest to a seller what to charge, but it is ultimately set by the seller.
Shipping charges are more than postage. There are supplies like tape, packaging materials, ink, paper, gas, to name a few.
When it seems delivery is too much, move on and find a better deal. It’s easier than trying to get a refund after.

That’s funny vendors have told me that they have their local postage, but the international postage is set by eBay. Ive currently been purchasing collectable plates, & the eBay system in the ‘cart’ has the postage to my country in the bottom e right corner, it’s been from $87. Postage alone on an 8 inch plate, so it’s a flat package on,y about 2 inches high at the most, I’ve also purchased horse figurines so they’re bulkier & the international postage has been $30. If I had to look for better deals, Most of my time would be a total waste given the standard prices, so I’d pack in buying on the internet & only look in country ! & Certsinly be advising my people to do the same, but I know I’m only a micro s optic speck in the eye of the global eBay machine. Time to stop shopping I think
