I bought an item using pay pal, the item doesn’t show up in my purchase history nor when I search the item number. I get a message telling me there is an error and the item number can’t be found.
Is there an email address where I can reach customer service.

Is it possible you purchased your item as a guest? It's possible the listing and seller were removed from eBay, but it would still be in purchase history if you were logged in.
To start a return request or report a problem with an item you bought as a guest, you'll need your order confirmation email. This is the email eBay sent at the time of your purchase with all your order details. The subject line starts with "Order Confirmed".
If you don't have that email, you can request another copy of the order confirmation email on this page:
Once you have the email, you can follow the process on the above page to talk to the seller.
You can also open a return request (to get a return label)
1) Select View order details in your order confirmation email.
2) Select Return item.
3) Select your reason for the return and select Next.
4) You can add a message to the seller and also upload up to 10 photos showing the item's condition.
Select Confirm return.
You can also open an Item Not Received case
1) Select View order details in your order confirmation email.
2) Select Item Not Received
3) Follow the steps

In order to view the order transaction, you must be signed in to the same eBay account you used to make the original purchase. Is it possible you made the purchase using a different eBay account, or as a guest?
If you are certain you used this eBay account, see if the transaction appears here among your recent orders:
