Order not recieved

I ordered an item last night and this morning I contacted the seller to cancel seller responded they have not received an order should I consider this canceled then or not

Go to    My ebay > Purchase history > Contact seller

Buyers can REQUEST a cancellation, but only the seller can file one.  Sellers are not obligated to do so.
