Offer window

Why does eBay only allow an 11 hour window to accept an offer? The limited window won't allow me to accept an offer made after office hours.

If a buyer sends you an Offer, it should be good for 48 hours.  I know there are instances where that window can be shorter.  I don't know if that is on the buyer's side or the seller's side.  I know as a seller, when I send an Offer to a watcher, it is for 48 hours and that can't be changed.

Do you only access your ebay account from work?  No access from home?
