Made an offer on an auction for 2 items. Instead of accepting or rejecting or counter offering, the seller sent me an eBay message that my offer was accepted. Then he tried to pull a fast one saying my offer was only good for one or the other, and not both items as offered in the auction. He wanted double my offer for both after he accepted my offer. That would have made him even more money than the auction price OBO total. I think he purposely used messaging to avoid eBay scrutiny of what he was trying to do.
I can’t find anything on eBay about protecting the buyer, much less a way to file a complaint.
