No more accepting Amex

Is EBAY serious !? No more accepting American Express. They say one can go through Paypal or Venmo

but who wants to go through a third party. Amex has high standards and EBAY is putting any issues they may encounter with Amex on the shoulders of a third party such as Paypal or Venmo. It is a layer of protection for EBAY so they can avoid any issues. Bad move EBAY.

Hi @ras31042c9j

No, actually it's a layer of protection for YOU. Instead of eBay buyer protection and AMEX protection, you have eBay protection, Amex protection AND PayPal protection.

For the past twenty years, I've paid for all my eBay purchases through PayPal with my payment funded by AMEX. Once you add AMEX to your PayPal account as your primary funding source, when you pick PayPal at checkout, you purchase is automatically charged to your AMEX card. It takes no extra time - it's completely seamless.
