New device

I keep getting notification from ebay about a new device in South Carolina signing into my account. I get an email and it is in my messages in my account in ebay.  I have changed my password and then I get the same thing over again.  This is crazy! Help!

eBay has begun sending such messages for each sign-in from an unrecognized browser. Unrecognized just means that the browser has no cookies from a previous sign-in to that account, or the IP address does not correspond to a previous sign-in.

If you are routinely erasing your browser cookies, or changing your network address, you can expect to receive such messages when you sign in again.

Do the browser, location and time correspond to your own sign-in activity? If so, you can ignore the message.

Keep in mind that the location may not be precise. Browser information may not always be available. If you use a VPN or a hotspot, the location shown may correspond to the network you are connected to.

If you do not recognize the location, time or browser, and you suspect that someone else may have gained access to your account, you may want to change your eBay password.

If you have social media accounts linked to your eBay account, change those passwords as well, or unlink those accounts from eBay. Consider changing your email password, as someone with access to your email address could use it to get into your eBay account even after changing your eBay password.
