is there anyway to phone eBay? I’m so frustrated with trying to communicate with a chat robot I’m about to scream. It was purchased toward the end of last year. For some reason it shows delivered when it was a preorder for shipment end of May. Yeah, right. The post office hasn’t received it yet!!

I’ve tried “contacting” eBay and because the initial preorder was last September, the robot can’t “find it” so won’t put me through to a real agent. My frustration stems from no response from the seller regarding the status of the supposedly shipped item. For some reason it also shows delivered which I can only assume happened after my payment cleared. Thanks for trying to help.

I'm sorry that happened.
My advice is to contact your credit card and file a charge back today, if possible.
Pre-orders on eBay are only valid for 40 days.
Item not received cases are to be filled on eBay within 30 days of the expected delivery.
If your credit card won't help you, then you can try eBay to see if they will provide a courtesy refund.
eBay doesn't have an incoming phone line for either buyers or sellers. But you can have eBay call YOU, here

Your pre-order was likely a bad deal. It's against policy for have pre-ordered items longer than 30 days and your situation is why.
