A buyer made an offer to purchase my item for asking price. I accepted the offer. While awaiting for payment, the buyer reaches out to me via eBay and asks me to text them at their personal phone number. They have a question. I respond that I will only interact through eBay and they can ask me the question here. No response. Further, buyer's account was created yesterday. Clearly this account is trying to scam me. I want to cancel this order on those grounds but eBay does not provide the option for scams. Why? How can I get my item re-listed ASAP?

@milogoestocollege Since the buyer was trying to scam you it's best to cancel as problem with buyers address rather than canceling as buyer hasn't paid.
You can cancel the order from the drop down menu next to the item. This refunds your eBay sellers fees.
Cancel Order:

Report the buyer use the reason Buyer messaged me or retracted their bid with no intention of buying my item:

Add the buyer to your blocked buyer list:

Normally when a buyer doesn't pay you cancel the order as buyer hasn't paid on the 5th day after the sale. This refunds your sellers fees and gives the non paying a buyer a strike on their account. However, I do not like to encourage scammers to pay.

Have you set up buyer requirements in account settings:
1. Exclude shipping locations
https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf/excludeRegions
2. Block buyers whose primary shipping address is in a location I don't ship to AND block buyers with 2 or more unpaid in 12 months.
