I'm trying to set my account up again after years of not selling on eBay because of the changes requiring a bank account link to the eBay account (was boycotting). I've been around and around on the site today trying to find a link to start the identity verification process. I only find wordy "help" write ups, but no where to actually complete the task. I am signed in to my account.
Can anyone help? Thank you.

Try listing one item, and you should get a message with a link to supply all of the needed information.
Here are some links that may answer some of your questions:

I appreciate the reply. I listed an item, a paperclip for $100. I was hoping the act of listing would initiate an emailed link or something. It did not.
With all these ridiculous hoops I was hoping to establish my account as a seller before listing something significant. If I sell something and they want my SS#, DL#, DNA sample, first born, etc...I'd have to abandon the sale proceeds. Anyways, thank you for the reply.

Does anyone know of a way to contact eBay these days, or have they completely shut off all direct communication?

To contact customer service, follow the instructions on this page to work through the automated assistant to request a call back - select agent when it is an option -

You could also try the link at the bottom of this page, which should get you right to the payments team -
They will probably require your SS# given the new 1099k $600 threshold that was effective yesterday. Possibly DL to verify your identity. Haven't heard of any DNA sample collection yet, but stay tuned... 😁
We want your journey here to be as great as can be, so we have put together some links to help you get quickly familiarized with the eBay Community.
