Bough item Nov 27th, was est to arrive Dec 6th at latest. A label was created on Dec 3rd, but never rec by usps. I contacted seller in Dec 7th & 8th. No response. On the 10th I contacted eBay. Item still only said label created. They said they would work to contact the seller within 3 days. The final day - the 12th - the seller contacted me saying they had been dealing w the hurricane from October and didn’t have access to their items or internet. I have a hard time w this as there are many public computers as well as do I want an item that they sold that has been sitting in a flooded house as a gift for a child?
They asked me to wait as they just mailed the item on the 12th. (Yesterday)
Today I rec an email from eBay refunding me because the seller didn’t provide them proof of delivery.
I feel bad because now the usps finally received the item (Dec 13th) and it’s in my way.
What happens now?? Can I refuse the item? I genuinely don’t want it but don’t want pay to return it. What are my options??
